Cain is out. Move on.That “hidden” ad on the Herman Cain campaign youtube site (I won’t grant it a link, sorry, but I’m sure you’ve already seen it if you’ve found this).

First: I could care less if smoking in an ad is a positive or negative. What that ad does “tell America”, however, is that the Herman Cain “campaign” is little more than a marketing ploy to get attention to sell books and get more speaking engagements.

On the plus side: the ad certainly has gotten attention, good for you. Here I am ranting about it.

That “9-9-9” had no substance, but was repeated like a Head-On commercial should have been the first thing to give it away. Saturday Night Live said it best when they had fake-Cain say, “I didn’t think anyone would take me seriously.”

All you have to do is look at that smirk… I mean smile… at the end of this lovely ad… And there’s really no point in going too far into the analogy of “blowing smoke into someone’s face” by his chief of staff. Besides the fact that the end is extraordinary awkward in its presentation and execution… just look of the last 8-10 seconds of that ad: blowing smoke fading into a very, very slow and snide smile.

Who will win the “buy my products” fake presidential race between Newt and Herman I have no idea, but Newt certainly has someone on his tail now for that prize.

Coincidentally… when reading one story about this I was hit with a splash page advertisement to buy Herman Cain’s book… hmm. No kidding.

Herman Cain is not a serious candidate. He never was as far as I’m concerned. If his presence has added to the discussion, then good for him, but that does NOT make someone a viable candidate for president. He never should have had the audacity to claim that he was. The more the Republican primary appears to frantically search for their candidate, the more a mockery of the process and even the office it’s becoming.

A president should be smarter than us. A president should be deliberate and consider input from all sources. A president should not cater to crazy, sell snake oil gas price solutions, or for dear lord be using a campaign to try to SELL something. Stop making a mockery of our political process and the people who truly want to find a good candidate for their party.

A true presidential candidate does not try to sell books or schedule paid speaking engagements during a campaign. If you still think Herman Cain is in it for the country and not for himself: just pause that commercial on his smile and muse on the look. … then, of course, you can click on all those ads for his book that are appearing as a result of this embarrassing comercial.

Herman, it’s time to go the way of Trump: get out. Have some integrity and respect for the electoral process, our democracy as a whole, and the people of this country.
